FIXTURES and referees for SATURDAY. WAIRARAPA COMPETITIONS. The fixtures and referees for Saturday’s hockey games in the Wairarapa are as follow:— Senior men: Kiwi v. FIJI V. WAIRARAPA. MATCH AT MASTERTON NEXT WEEK. On Wednesday, August 5, the Fijian lady hockey touring team will meet the Wairarapa representatives at the Memorial Park, Mastertan. The visiting team is improving with every match, and is becoming more accustomed to the conditions. The visitors will arrive on Monday afternoon, and will attend a dance in the Masonic Hall. They will be the guests of the Wairarapa Association until Thursday morning. On Wednesday evening they will be guests at the Charity Ball. The sole selector, Mr. W. Harding, has announced the following team to represent Wairarapa:—E. I. Foster; T. I. Cole, R. Cowan; D. Dunce (captain), N. Spiers, N. Stalker; M. Dawber, E. Madsen, M. Rhodes, J. Harding, M. Henderson. Reserves: Back, B. Jackson; forward, Z. Pickering. The referees will be Messrs G. Morice and W. Harding. As a curtain-raiser the Wairarapa B team will meet the Wairarapa Maori representatives, the game to commence at 1.30 p.m. The Wairarapa B team is as follows:—Mrs. Playle (captain); J. Elliott, M. Wilton; J. Rutherford, N. Rntherford, R. Harding; N. Page, Z. Pickering, G. Jackson, J. Morice, D. Roberts. Reserves: Baek, H. Howes; forward, E. Barnes. The referees will be Messrs C. N. Cole and H. Playle.
