WEDDING.

HENSON—OSBORNE. The marriage took place on July 11 at St. Matthew’s Church, Maserton, of Phyllis Naomi, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Osborne, Masterton, and Robert William, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Henson, also of ' Masterton. The Rev. E. J. Rich performed the ceremony and Mr. Millar Hope presided at the organ. The bride looked charming i a beautiful gown of magnolia satin, cut on classical lines with a cowled neckline, and very full shirred sleeves. The back panel of the shirt formed a long, graceful quilted train which gave dignity to the bride as she was escorted down the aisle by her brother, Mr. lan Osborne. Her Icmg embroidered veil was held in place by a tulle cap with a pleated halo and orange blossoms. She carried a beautiful bouquet of freesias and Christmas roses, and maidenhair fern, the gift of Mr. and Mrs. A. Ball. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Ysabel Henson and Miss Marion Robinson, who wore lemon and blue frocks respectively of windswept crepe, with halos of silver. They carried shower bouquets of freesias, Iceland poppies, heather and maidenhair fern. The flower-girls, Norma Osborne (niece of the bride) and Lesley Ewington ("niece of the bridegroom) were dressed in long Victorian frocks of pink georgette, frilled at the hemline and finished with tiny rucking at the waist. They wore wreaths of silver and pink flowers on their hair, and carried Victorian josies of freesias and Iceland poppies. The best man was Mr. Ted Spicer and the duties of groomsman was carried out by Mr. B. Waters. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by Miss Lillie Helson, of Wellington. After the ceremony a reception and dance was held in the Orange Hall where a large number of guests were received by the bride’s mother who wore a frock of wine windswept crepe with hat to tone. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Henson left later for a motor tour, the bride travelling in a navy tailored costume with hat, gloves and shoes to tone.
