SEED CLEANING.
EXTENSION OF WORKING HOURS DESIRED. APPLICATION TO COURT. WELLINGTON, July 22. An application was heard to-day from companies engaged in seed cleaning and dressing for an extension of the working hours to 44, with a fivehour period of continuous work between meals. It was claimed that the work was seasonal and could not be spread over the whole year. Decision was reserved.—(P.A.)
