“THE COUNTY CHAIRMAN.” “The County Chairman,” starring the late Will Rogers, which will be shown at the State Theatre to-day at 2.15 and 7.45 p.m. has been adapted from George Ade’s famous stage play of a generation ago and deals with small-town politics at the beginning of the century. Rogers is seen as the seasoned veteran of many a campaign —the fiery war-horse of his State, who knows every family skeleton by its first name —and doesn’t hesitate to use it. A second* feature is 11 Yellow Dust,” in which Richard Dix has the leading role. This is a dramatic story of gold-rush days in tfee American West. Dix is seen fighting his way through the intrigues of rogues bent on hanging him because he loves the Songbird of the Sierras, the beautiful Nellie Bryan. Stage coach hold-ups, claim jumping and gun duels are among the details- that give stirring interest and appeal to “Yellow Dust.’' Seats may be reserved at F. J. Adcock’s, ’phone 1275.
