STATEMENTS FROM MAORIS
CONCLUDED. WHANGAREI, ,June 17. The Maori Council has concluded the taking of statements from Maoris with reference to Mr. Ernest Nelson’s death. It is not known whether the statements will be of use to the poliee. Deteetivs are anxious to, locate the driver of a car which passed Nelson's gate between 7.40 and 7.50 o’clock on the night of the murder. They believe that if the driver eame forward the police would be assisted in the investigations.—(P.A.)
