BOULDNOR WINS BY TWO LENGTHS. LONDON, June 1«. On the opening day of the Royal Ascot meeting the following was the result of the Ascot Stakes, a handicap sweepstakes with £2OOO added; second horse £5OO, third £200; 2 miles: Major J. E. Walker’s Bouldnor, 1; Sir Percy Loraine’s Coup de Roi, 2; Sir Ernest W. Tate’s Blue Girl, 3. Thirty-four starters. Won by two lengths, a short head between second and third.
