DR. TOWNSEND & TWO AIDES. PROSECUTION ORDERED.

WASHINGTON, May 28. The House of Representatives decided to-day by 271 votes to 41 to cite Dr. Townsend and’ Tris two aides for contempt. The House in so doing instructed the prosecution officials in the District of Columbia to initiate a criminal action against them. (Dr. F. E. Townsend, co-founder of an organisation to carry out the Townsend Plan (Old Age Revolving Pensions, Ltd.) refused to give further evidence before the Committ'ee of the House of Representatives which is investigating the affairs of the concern. His defiance followed a charge laid by the committee that his organisation had used the postal services to defraud).
