FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL. RATE NOTICE. hjOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it ~ is the intention of the Council at a Meeting to be held at the Council Chambers Martinborough on Friday 12th. June, 1936, under the provisions of Section 120 of the Counties Act 1920 and amendments thereto to make and levy a GENERAL RATE of One and three-eighths pence (lid) in the pound sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties appearing in the valuation rolls of the nine respective Ridings of the County ALSO under the provisions of Section 52 of "The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act 1926” to make and levy a HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID RATE of one farthing (Jd) in the pound sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties appearing in the Valuation Rolls of the nine respective Ridings of the County. AND ALSO under the provisions of the "Water Supply Act 1908,” and amendments thereto to make and levy SEPARATE RATES for the maintenance of Water Races within the respective Water Race Districts as follows:—

A SEPARATE RATE of three-eighths of a penny (jd) in the pound sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties within the Moroa Water Race Separate Rating District A SEPARATE RATE .of two pence farthing (2Jd) in the pound sterling on the Unimproved Value of all rateable properties within the Dry River Water Race Separate Rating < District. A SEPARATE RATE of one and onehalf pence (lid) in the pound sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties within the Featherston Longwood Water Race Separate Rating District—including the Tauherenikau sub-division thereof. ALSO under the provisions of "The Local Bodies Loans Act 1926” to collect the annual recurring interest and sinking fund charges within the several Special Rating Districts of the County. SUCH RATES to be for the period commencing on the Ist. day of April 1936, and ending on the 31st. day of March 1937, and to be due and payable in one sum on the 26th. day of June 1936, at the Office of the Council. THE "VALUATION ROLLS are now open for inspection during Office Hours. PURSUANT to Section 64 of the "Rating Act 1925,” a discount of live per centum will be allowed off the General and Hospital and Charitable Aid Rates if the demand is paid in full within 30 days of the date thereon.
