STATE THEATRE.
TWO FEATURE PROGRAMME.
What happens when a shy and quiet | young man suddenly tears loose and spends hundreds of dollars entertaining his best girl during a single night out is aptly revealed in Universal’s funny and thrilling “His Night Out,” starring Edward Everett Horton, which will be shown at the State Theatre to-day at 2.15 and 7.45 p.m. Supporting Horton in the feature attraction, is beautiful Irene Hervey, cast as secretary to Horton’s boss in a chain drug store concern, played by Robert McWade. The adventures of a motion picture publicity man, who loses his girl because he is more concerned about newspaper headlines than about her safety, and then regains her by tackling gangland’s most sinister killer single-handed, provide thrills and comedy in “Another Face,” the second feature. Wallace Ford, Phyllis Brooks, and Brian Donlevy are in the cast of this RiKO Radio picture. Reserves at F. J. Adcock’s, ’p-hone 1275.
COMING SATURDAY. “PADDY O’DAY.” Featuring Jane Withers “Paddy O’Day” is announced as the next attraction at the State Theatre, starting on Saturday, when it will be shown at three sessions, at 11 a.m., 2.15 and 7.45 p.m. Reserved at F. J. Adcock’s, ’phone 1275.
