SEVERE CYCLONE.
AUSTRALIAN COASTER IN TROUBLE. AIDED BY PILOT STEAMER. (Received This Day, 0.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 24. A severe cyclonic disturbance prevailed over parts of the Tasman and reached maximum intensity at the week-end. The small coastal freighter Erringhi, trading to Hawkesbury ports, broke her tailshaft and signalled for assistance to-day. She was . taken in tow by the pilot steamer Captain Cook.
