LODGE AFFAIRS.
ODDFELLOWS' FORTNIGHTLY MEETING.
Sister Al. Simpson presided over a good attendance of members at the ordinary meeting of the Oddfellows' Lodge. A report from the Friendly Societies' Council was adopted, and Bro. H. Marsh was appointed in charge of the card teams for the Friendly Societies’ tournament, with the option of entering two teams. The invitation to attend the Empire Service at St Matthew's Church on Empire Day was accepted. Letters of recommendation were granted to three members, and one accepted. The lodge decided to purchase a photograph of the Oddfellows’ cricket champions for the 193536 season. The report of the Dance Committee was received, and the committee was congratulated on the result. The nomination of officers clos-, ed as follows:—l.P.N.G., Sister M.

Waters. ’ The members of Heart of Oak Lodge were present, and spent a very enjoy- | able social evening. Four friends were proposed for membership. The lodge members considered putting in a challenge to the Carterton Druids for the Friendly Societies' seven-a-side football shield, under the auspices of the F.S. Council. | i
