CELEBRATIONS IN UNITED STATES. PARADES & MASS MEETINGS. (Received Sunday, 6.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 1. Radical Labour celebrated international May Day in traditional fashion, with parades and .mass meetings. For the first time since the War, the radicals effected something of a “united front” with Left Wing Socialists, Communists and some American Federation of Labour units marching together. .Right Wing Socialists, however, remained aloof. QUIET IN FRANCE. ORDERLY DEMONSTRATIONS. PARIS, May 1. May Day passed quietly in France. Mass labour demonstrations which were held throughout France were very orderly, as the Leftists are anxious not to prejudice the success of the second ballot in the elections.
