PATRIOTIC ASSOCIATION.
MEETING QYCLAIMS BOARD.
The fortnightly meeting of the. Claims Board of the Wairarapa Patriotic Associatjaa was held in Masterton yesterday. There were present: Messrs. R. R. Bunffiige, H. M. Boddington, W, G. Lamb, ted T. F. Watson. Apologies for absence were accepted from Messrs J. H. Irxing and L. S. Nicol. Mr. Burridge was voted to the chair. Th«. association’s solicitor was >*- striated to' take legal action against an ex-soldier whose actions displayed a deliberate intention of evading his liability to the association in the. aiattor of an outstanding loan. The board decided to accept a eash offer from an ex-soldier in seWlement of an advance, and to make % concession to the soldier concerned. It was decided to serve notice on a defaulting borrower of foreclosure under the Mortgagor! Aot. _A soldier farmer from (he Auckland district wrote reporting upon his financial position and an instalment in reduction of his outstanding advance. Two applications for temporary financial robaf were dealt with.
