Masterton: Miss R. Robinson reported as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday: Barograph, 30.30; shade temperature, maximum 73.2, minimum 44.2; terrestrial, 36; sunshine, 13 hours 28 minutes. The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E, Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday: An anti-cyclone of moderate intensity is moving on to New Zealand. Forecast: Winds, light to moderate and variable, south-easterlies prevailing over the northern half of the North Island and westerlies in the far south. Weather: Cloudy on parts of the -east coast, with morning fog and possibly a light drizzle in places, but otherwise fair to fine and warmer.
