ODDFELLOWS’ LODGE.

FORTNIGHTLY MASTERTON SITTING. The Manchester Unity Oddfellows’ Lodge held its fortnightly meeting on Monday night. Bro. W. Palmer presided over a good attendance. One new member was initiated into the Order. The Wairarapa Past Grands Lodge notified the Lodge that the Heart of Oak Lodge had won the Ritual Shield. The Carterton, Lodge was congratulated on its success. The Eketahuna Lodge, wrote stating that it might visit Masterton at an early date. The Hospital Association notified the Lodge that ten members in arrears had been struck off the roll. The Brisbane, Dannevirke and Hastings lodges wrote, attending to benefits on behalf of the local lodge. Past Director Bro. P. M. Smith gave the Blue degree to 21 members, and will give the White degree to members on next lodge night. The Management Committee considered the Health Stamp Campaign. The*, Christmas Tree Committee will meet next Monday night. Th.e (pricket'Club secretary reported a good attendance at the annual meeting and that all the necessary material bad been purchased, while a good junior season was anticipated. l

The Dance Committee decided to conduct a dance in. the. Lodge Room next Tuesday, the prices of admission to be Is pd and Is. Bro. C. Mooney and F. Wright were appointed M’s.C. The Ping Pong Club will play W.F.C.A. on, Thursday night in the Lodge Room and’ the usual card tourney will be held to-night. . Sick members’ accounts and quarterly accounts were passed and; all medical and dispensary lists were completed, with the names of financial members. Four hospital accounts were forwarded to the Central Committee for payment.
