Masterton: Miss R. Robinson reported as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 30.20; shade temperature, maximum, 65; minimum, 52.6; terrestrial, 46; sunshine, 8 hcfirs; rain, 20 points. Solway: Mr: H. M. Boddington reports that 32 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday. The Government Meteorologist (Dir. E. Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday.—A series of westerly depressions extends from Southern Australia across the south Tasman Sea and New Zealand while an anti-cyclone covers the North Tasman. Forecast: Winds moderate te - strong north-westerly to westerly, still gale force at places in and south of Cook Strait, backing temporarily in parts to south-westerly. Weather: Changeable and squally, with rain at times in most districts but only light and scattered east of the main ranges.
