GALLIPOLI LANDING.
WELLINGTON REGIMENT’S COMMEMORATION. To commemorate the 20th. anniversary of the regiment’s landing on Gallipoli, the Wellington Regiment N.Z. E.F. will hold a reunion in Palmerston North on the Saturday following Anzac Day, this being the day in the week nearest to the actual landing day, which was a Sunday. The regiment on active service was drawn from districts all over the North Island and old comrades will foregather from long distances. At the social function on the Saturday night, His Worship the Mayor of Wellington, Mr. T. C. Hislop, and the Hon. W. Perry, wMJU., members of the regiment, will be amongst the speakers present. The reunion concludes with a church parade on the Sunday to All Saints’ Church, where the King’s Colours and the Regimental Memorials are deposited.
