PAHIATUA SALE.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having had a medium yarding of sheep at the Pahiatua sale yesterday. There was a’ good attendance of buyers, including several from the Manawatu who still showed keenness to purchase breeding ewes. A nice line otf 213 5-year-old ewes on account of Frank White, “Eastry,” elicited keen competition, and realised 20/10. A pen of mixed age Romney ewes on account of J. E. Hewitt, realised 26/. They report a clearance at the following prices:— M.A. Romney ewes, 26/; 5-year ewes, 18/10 to 20/10; 4 and 5-year ewes, 18/2 to 19/10; 2 and 4-tooth ewes, 24/; wethers, 19/10; S.D. rams, 2}gns. to 3gns.
