WEDDING.

MAY—LINDOP. The wedding took place on Saturday evening at St. Mark’s Church, Carterton, of Josepha Mary, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Lindop, Carterton, and James Clifford, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. May, of Napier. The Rev. W. F. Stent officiated and Mrs. Bath presided at the organ. The bride who was given away by her father, wore a cream gown of ave bovis crepe cut on classic lines. The bodice was trimmed with lavender lace and had long lace sleeves. The bride’s veil of embroidered tulle (kindly lent by a friend) was held in place with orange blossoms. She carried a sheaf of white madonna lilies and maidenhair fern. The two bridesmaids, Miss Amy Johnston and Miss Eva Lindop, wore rose r charmelle crepe frocks tightly fitting and flared to the ankles. They wore bandeaux of rose velvet and shoes and mittena to tone, and carried bouquets of pink zinnias, autumn tinted hydrangeas and maidenhair fern. They also wore gold rings, the gift of the bridegroom. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Roy Hart, of Auckland, and the groomsman was Mr. Ron Davies, of Masterton. A reception was later held in 6t. Mary’s Hall where the bride’® parents received over 80 guests. Mrs. Lindop wore a frock of wedgewood blue crepe with hat to tone and carried a posy of pink asters and maidenhair fern. Mrs. May chose a black and white ensemble and her posy was of asters and maidenhair fern. When Mr. and Mrs. J. C. May left later by car for the north the bride wore a wine crepe frock with brown coat and hat and python shoes. Their future home will be in Masterton.
