SUCCESS OF THE CARTERTON BRIGADE. (To the Editor.) Sir.—l have been following with keen interest, the results of the Fire Brigade Demonstration just completed at Blenheim, and was greatly surprised to read of the splendid performance mt the Carterton Fire Brigade 10, gninW the championship of New Z<Jmn<Llt makes one wonder what is toe matter with the Masterton Fire Brigade when - they cannot even send a team to represent their town, especially when one looks back to the time when the Masterton Brigade, nnder Superintendent Freeman, could hold its own with the best brigades in New Zealand. If the members of the Masterton Fire Board are interested enough in fire brigade work to have read the reports on the above demonstration and of the splendid performances put up by the different brigades, they will no doubt make some endeavour to hava this brigade represented at demonstrations as it used to be.—l am, etc., GOOD LUCK, Carterton.
