BADMINTON.
POSSIBLES v. PROBABLES NEXT WEEK. EXHIBITION MATCH. Ari exhibition badminton match, Wairarapa Possibles v. Probables, will be played in the Municipal Hall on Wednesday, August 29. Play will start >at 7.30 p.m. and patrons are assured of witnessing some bright, attractive play. The game has made- remarkable progress in the Wairarapa this season and a large attendance of spectators is anticipated next week. After the match a Wairarapa team will be selected to challenge Western Districts for the Wisden Cup. The proceeds will be in aid of the business candidate, Miss Mollie Collier. Following are the teams:—
Possibles.—'Miller, Edwards, Major, McLeod, O’Connor, Cook; Mrs. Prior, Misses J. Beetham, D. Allan, L. Hosking, Ward and Mrs. H. H. Driniell. Probables: Logan, Hodder, Forsyth, Collins, 'Bowles, Allen; Misses M. Beetham, McGregor, Ross, A. B'eethamj J. Daniell and Hessell.
