AFGHAN INDEPENDENCE.
CELEBRATIONS AT KABUL. MAN ISO YEARS OLD. CALCUTTA, August. 19. Thousands of traders from India, the remotest parts of Tibet, Chinese Turkestan, Turkestan and Central Asia are visiting Kabul for the celebrations in connection with the sixteenth anniversary of Afghan independence. King Zahir Shah opened a trade exhibition, in which one of the principal attractions is Afghanistan’s oldest man, Haji .Gul, who, it is claimed, is aged I'Bo.
