TWO-FOLD DISASTER
TRAIN STRIKES COLLIDING MOTORS. ASTONISHING ACCIDENT IN FRANCE. EIGHT PERSONS CRUSHED TO DEATH. (Received Monday, 7 p.m.) PARIS, August 20. An astonishing two-fold accident occurred at Ponte de Larche, Southern France. • A motor cyclist, with a pillion rider, collided with a motor car containing six occupants at a level crossing. Amid the turmoil, a train dashed into the vehicles and all eight were, crushed to death.
