PING PONG.
UNITED DEFEAT PARKVALE. A pleasant time was spent last evening in the Methodist Hall, when the Parkvale Ping Pong team played the United A team. After some exciting and even matches United won by two sets. Following are the section results, United mentioned first:—Ladies’ singles: 4 sets 9 games—4 sets 8 games; men’s singles: 5 sets 11 games —3 sets 10 games; ladies’ doubles, 1 set 4 games—3 sets 7 games; men’s doubles, 2 sets 5 games—2 sets 6 games; combined doubles, 5 sets 11 games—3 sets 10 games. At the conclusion of the match supper was enjoyed by all.
