PLAY IN DUNLOP CONTEST. PADGHAM LEADING. LONDON, May 3. In the Dunlop golf tournament frix players with aggregates of 154 or under qualified for the final two rounds, Fadgham leading with 140. Others include Lacey 142, Rudd, Mitchell, Branch and McDowell 143, Cotton and Ayton 144, R. Whitcombe 145, Comp ston C. Whitcombe 147, Havers and Easterbrook 148, Seymour 149, Allis 150, Boomer, King and Davies 153. To-day’s play at Southport produced a great surprise. Cotton on Wednes--2, a y seemed quite out of the running. To-day Cotton and Ayton (fifty-year Scotsman formerly prominent at St nr^2^ S an a ™ateur and then professional), playing together, each breaWn g record for the 6800 yards course. Ayton took only 25 putts and Cotton 26/ N 44 LADIES. ENTRIES NOW ACCEPTED.
