JOHNSONVILLE SALE.

WELLINGTON, May 3. There was little change in prices at the Johnsonville sale yesterday when Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., offered a full yarding of' sheep and cattie. The quality of the bullocks was hardly up to last week’s yarding. Taking this into consideration, prices showed no alteration. Cows and heifers had a good sale at late rates, and vealers were in keen demand. The sheep offered were generally of good quality and prices for wethers were on a par with last week’s rates, while ewes were slightly easier. Lambs were dull of sale and met a poor demand. Cattle: Heavy bullocks, £B/2/- to £7 13/-; bullocks', £7/6/- to £6/10/-; heavy cows and heifers, £5/12/- to £5 5/-; runners, £2/18/- to £2/10/-; vealers, £l/18/- to £l. Sheep: Prime heavy wethers, 06/10 to 25/6; prime wethers, 25/- to 23/9; prime extra heavy ewes, 22/-, 21/7; prime heavy ewes, 21/-, 20/6; extra heavy lambs, 23/3, 23/1; heavy lambs, 22/6 to 20/3.
