Masterton: Miss K. Robinson reported as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday: —Barograph, 30.28; shade temperature, maximum, 61.4- minimum, 45; terrestrial, 31.5; sunshine, 6 hours 30 minutes.

Eidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday as follows:—General situation: A deep cyclone is centred over the northern extremety of the Dominion, the pressure is still high to the east and has risen over the Western Tasman Sea. Forecast: Winds, north-easterly gales at first north, of Eawhia and Napier, otherwise winds tending to south-east and south, moderate to strong in the far south, elsewhere rising to gale force. Weather: Dull generally, with mist in places, general rain probable, with heavy falls north of Nelson and Marlborough and especially in the < Bay of Plenty and East Coast district of the North Island, where floods are probable; snow on ranges; temperatures becoming colder. iSun rises, 6.39 a.m.; sets, 4.57 p.m. Lighting-up time, 5.27 ,p.m.
