MUSIC AND ELOCUTION.
PUPILS' G®’ MISS B. MACKAY;. A.T.CJL A most' interesting programme has been arranged for the musical and elocutionary recital to be given* by the pujiJs of' Miss- Beryl Mackay, A.T.C.L.,, ; in the-Parish: Hall, on Thursday,- April’ 12, at' & The numbers sa& well chosen* and include pianoforte and violin solos, duets aond quartettes in character, recitations, three delightful ensemble items “ Lackaday, ”' r “ With Courtly-GYace,” “None so Pretty” and a chorus in costume “Teddy Bears* Picnic?” with fourteen youthful performers. The programme will ‘also iii*elude a dainty playette entitled 4 'The Daisy Border” and a play “The Adventures of a Cottage Loaf.” These' form the main items and ail' will be performed’ in costume. An attractive performer will be little Patty Turner the clever juvenile elocutionist and' dancer. Miss Mackay is a young and taltented performer and teacher and the recital will no doubt* be looked forward to with keen anticipation by the people of Masterton and district. Admission is by programme and reserves are free at the Crafts. , Children under 12 will be’ adtnitted at half-ptiee.
