RANGITUMAU SCHOOL PICNIC.
The annual picnic of the Rangitumau School, which was held on Mr. Erie Wilton’s property on Friday last, was a decided success from every point of view. Mr. J. E. Duckett (chairman) presented every child with a book in addition to the prizes won in the races. There was a large attendance of parents, friends and children who thoroughly enjoyed the picnic. The following were the results of the events held:— Boys’ Events. 100 Yards, 12 years and over: Guy Duckett 1, Bert Frew 2. 75 Yards, 10 years and over: Malcolm Stuart 1, Walter Mortensen 2. Std. 1., and Primer, 50 yards: Colin Macdonald 1, Colin Stuart 2, Neil Stuart 3. Primer, 50 yards: Neil Stuart 1, Archie Ghorley 2, Walter Mortensen 3. 100 Yards championship: Bert Frew and Malcolm Stuart, equal, 1; Guy Duckett 3.
