SINGAPORE BASE.
NO ANXIETY BY JAPAN. PEACE IN FAB EAST. . TOKIO, March 13. Mr. K. Hirota, Foreign Minister, told the Lower House Committee that the Japanese Government did not entertain the slightest anxiety regarding the Singapore Base, the necessity for which would disappear when Far Eastern peace was firmly established. The Anglo-Japanese alliance had lapsed, i ut its spirit mutually remained.
