PIRINOA SCHOOL PICNIC.
RESULTS OF VARIOUS EVENTS.
Although the weather was dull and 1. it remained fine for the Piri-. noa School picnic, which was held in. beautiful surroundings in Mr. McDougall’s paddock on Friday. There was a large attendance of parents and visitors and a most enjoyable day was spent. The committee, assisted by Miss Harvey (principal) and her assistant. Miss ! Guthrie, worked assiduously throughout the day and their efforts wore ably rewarded by a very successful gathering. The handicappers were Messrs. 8. Mclntosh. (children) and R,. McDougall (adults) and their handicapping produced some close finishes. The committee desires l , to thank all who assisted financially . and otherwise in making \the day a most enjoyable one for all. In the evening a danee .was held in the School House when there was again a very large attendance, the music being supplied by Miss M. Carter and the extras by Mrs. Haeata.
