Masterton, March 10: Miss R. Robinson reported as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m.:—Barograph, 30.10; shade temperature, maximum, 66.4; minimum, 51.4; terrestrial, 39.6; rain, 4 points. March 11: Barograph, 29.90; shade temperature, maximum, 73.2; minimum, 52; terrestrial, 40; sunshine, 8J hours. The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E. Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday as follows:—General situation: A slight anti-eyclone extends from the Queensland coast on the northern New Zealand, a depression has been crossing the Soiith Island to-day. Forecast: Winds moderate to strong between north-westerly and south-westerly prevailing, reaching gale force at places. Weather: Cloudy to overcast, rain in /most districts, some heavy falls in the western part of the South Island. Sun rises, 6.12 a.m.; sets, 6.51 p.m. Lighting-up time, 7.19 p.m.
