MOTOR CAR OVERTURNS.
THREE PASSENGERS RECEIVE MINOR INJURIES. ACCIDENT AT CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH, August 27. Minor injuries were received by throe (passengears when Dr. Thacker’s motor-car, driven by his chauffeur, swerved to avoid a cyclist riding on the road near Kaituna this morning and overturned into a ditch filled with water. Dr. Thacker received scratches and also suffered from shock but was able to attend to another passenger, Mrs. Bean, wife of Canon Bean, who received head injuries, and Mrs. Thacker, who had a wrist broken. Mrs. Bean was taken by the ambulance to the Christchurch Public Hospital and after being treated under an anaesthetic. was removed to her home.—(PiA.)
