WEDDING.

1 WILLOUGHBY—McKENZIE. A wedding of considerable interest throughout rhe Wairarapa was solemnised at the Kopuaranga Church on Thursday when Miss Catherine Elizabeth McKenzie, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs R? D. McKenzie, Kopuaranga, was married to Mr. 'Seymour Edgar Willoughby, elder son of Mr. and Mrs W. R. S. Willoughby, Bruce Street, Masterton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. Dickie. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a frock of cream crepe satin fashioned on classical lines, ©he wore a beautiful veil lent by her aunt and carried a shower bouquet of pink roses, carnations and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Anne McKenzie and Miss Dolly McLeod, cousin of the bridegroom. The former was dressed in a frock of salmon pink crepe de chene and lace and the latter in a frock of powder blue crepe do chene with a shoulder posy. Both bridesmaids wore silver headdresses and carried bouquets to tone. Mr. Fred Clarke, Masterton, acted as best man ,and Mr. Allan McKenzie, Kopuaranga, as groomsman. Following the church ceremony a reception was held at “Myrtle,” the home of the bride’s parents, only near relatives being present. The mother of the bride, Mrs R-. D. McKenzie, who received the guests, wore a frock of navy blue marocain and a navy hat. She carried a posy of autumn flowers. Mrs W. R. S. Willoughby, mother of the bridegroom, was attired, in a frock of black satin beaute with a black and white hat. She also carried a posy of flowers. The happy couple were the recipients of many beautiful presents and a host of congratulatory telegrams and messages conveying best wishes. After the reception the bride and bridegroom left by car for the south, the bride travelling in a navy blue suit with hat and shoes to tone. The future home of Mr. and Mrs S. E. Willoughby will be in Masterton.
