LONDON-CAPE FLIGHT.
CAPT. LANCASTER. TO ATTEMPT NEW RECORD. USING SOUTHERN CROSS MINOR. LONDON, April 5. The “Daily Express” says that Captain Lancaster will shortly attempt to break Mrs Amy Mollison’s LondonCape Town record as a means of putting himself right with the world. His parents are financing a- scheme for using the Southern Cross Minor, which Sir Charles Kingsford Smith used on his Australia to England flight. Captain Lancaster proposes to take five hours’ sleep on the first three nights, and after that to be content with one hour a night.
