N.Z. POTATOES.
REMOVAL OF EMBARGO BY AUSTRALIA. TASMANIAN GROWERS SEEK PROTECTION. (Received Thursday, 10.10 p.m.) HOBART, April 6. The Potato Marketing Board while not objecting to the removal of ■ the embargo on New Zealand potatoes expresses the opinion that local growers should be adequately protected by a tariff. They suggest £3 a ton, plus primage and sales tax.
