AIR LINER FIRE.
REPORT MADE BY BELGIAN EXPERTS. SUSPICION OP INCENDIARISM STRENGTHENED. SOME SUGGESTIVE FACTS. LONDON, April 5. The Brussels correspondent of the “Daily Express’’ states that » Belgian experts, after examining the -wreck of the City of Liverpool decided that the fire started in the passengers ’ lavatory at the tail of the as shown hy the fact that the lavatory door had been burnt on the inside only. The experts are convinced that Voss was in the lavatory, as he leapt through a side door adjacent to the lavatory. The experts have decided that the petrol tank did not explode in the air. The passenger cabin was afire before the aeroplane stmck the ground. Nothing abnormal was discovered in the condition of the engines. The last two nights of Voss and Dcarden at Brussels had been spent at eabarets entertaining women. Voss told a girl that «he would soon see a lot about him in the newspapers. The men had been drinking heavily. The Manchester correspondent of the * ‘Daily Express” adds that Voss was a smuggler of heavily dutiable goods in connection with dental business. .Voss’s liabilities in Britain were estimated at £6OOO, and his debts abroad at many thousands.
