MOTOR CAMPING.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Various and persistent rumours are in circulation in Masterton that a section of the Borough Council, including the Mayor, were not quite sincere when they voted against temporary motor camping arrangements on Mawley Park at Easter. It is suggested that whilst they blocked Easter camping, they have not made the necessary arrangements to ensure the erection of permanent buildings, -.n view of the pending election, it would be interesting to have a statement from the council.—l am, etc., "RATEPAYER.” Masterton, April 5. (Although motorists are not permitted, meantime, to camp at Mawley Park, they may camp, on receiving permission from the custodian of the Masterton Park, on the area utilised for the purpose for some time past.—Efl.)
