CANADA’S DEBT.
RATHER STAGGERING TOTAL. OTTAWA, March 14. The total public debt of Canada, including Dominion, provincial and municipal obligations, was placed at 6,539,728,053 dollars by Mr. R. H. Coats, the Dominion Statistician, in evidence before the Banking and Commerce Committee of the House of Commons on Tuesday. This included debts guaranteed by the Dominion.
