COMMUNITY SING.
GATHERING AT FEATHERSTON LAST NIGHT. There was a very large attendance at the community sing, held in the Featherston Town Hall last night. Under the talented leadership of Messrs. Owen Pritehard and Frank Crowther, of Wellington, everything went with a swing and the gathering proved thoroughly successful. Tho profits are to be divided equally between the Masterton unemployed and those in Featherston. Another sing will be held in Featherston in about a month’s time when items will also be given by well-known Wellington artists. Arrangements have been made for a sing to be held at Carterton next Wednesday night when an enjoyable evening’s entertainment is assured all who attend. Messrs. Crowther and Pritchard and other artists will be in attendance.
