ST. MATTHEW’S CHURCH.
MEETING OF LADIES’ GUILD. A special meeting of St. Matthew's Ladies' Guild was held in the Parish Hall on Monday evening. The president (Mrs. E. J. Rich) presided over a large attendance of members. Various offers of help in connection with the annual Garden Party to be held in the grounds of Mrs. S. Mawley's residence, Swaye Place, Lansdowne, on Saturday next, were made to the meeting. The Rovers offered their services in connection with the side-shows. Miss Gardener, of the Winzenburg. Studios, donated a trophy of six photographs of any child under twelve months and it was decided to award this to the best baby in the Baby Show. The show itself will be divided into two sections for babies under six months and between six and twelve months. All the usual stalls will be jn evidence at the Garden Party and assistance is being freely given by parishioners. Given fine weather the Garden Party should be a great success. It was decided that the proceeds should be devoted to the organ repair fund. If the weather is unfavourable the function will be held in the Parish Hall.
