DALEFIELD CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING. SENIOR AND THIRD GRADE TEAMS. There was a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Dalefield Football Club on Thursday last. Tho secretary’s financial statement showed a satisfactory credit balance of £6 14s 2d on the year's working, which was considered satisfactory. Tho election of officers for the ensuing year resulted: Patron, Mr. W. Saywell; president, Mr. C. Abbott; vicepresidents, Messrs A. O. Abbott, H. T. Kingi, C .Zillwood, T. H. Hughes, J. Linton, A. Playlc, J. C. Harp, G'. A. Vincent, J. Standcn, H. Birch, J. Stevens, W. Ticehurst, J. Fearon, B. Rayner, C. Fairbrother and Mrs E. Quinn; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. H. Knowles; delegates to annual meeting of Wairarapa Rugby Football Union, Messrs K. C. Fairbrother, M. Parker, H. J. McKenzie; club captain, "Mr. H. Bain; management committee, Messrs C. Bambry, S. Conwell, H. Bain, M. Parker, K. C. Fairbrother, C. Abbott, A. H. Knowles. It was decided to nominate senior and third-grade’ teams to play in the forthcoming football competitions, and the subscriptions were fixed at: Senior, 7s fid; third grade, 2s 6d. Mr. F. Groube’s offer to coach the senior team was accepted, while the appointment of a coach for the thirdgrade team was held over. Fifteen new members were elected. It was decided to commence the season on April 1, and games will be played on Mr. M. Parker’s grounds. Mr. C. Abbott offered a miniature cup for competition among members of the third grade. The offer was gratefully accepted. A strong Social Committee was elected, with Mr. C. Bambry as secretary.
