SMALLPOX AT COLOMBO.

SITUATION UNDER CONTROL. COLOMBO, December 20. There arc thirty-six cases of smallpox to date. The situation is under perfect control. The port surgeon is of opinion that it is absolutely safe for tourists to land if they are vaccinated. All workers and agents have been vaccinated, and no person will be allowed on board unless vaccinated. Ships entering port will be warned by the authorities and passengers advised that it is unsafe to land unless they are vaccinated, but there will be no restrictions regarding the landing of passengers.
