WEATHER REPORTS.
Masterton: Miss R. Robinson reported at 9 a.m. yesterday: Barograph, 30.25; shade temperature, maximuiq 82.4, minimum 54.2; terrestrial, 44.4; sunshine, 13 hours 36 minutes. The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E. Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday:—An anti-cyclone has moved on to New Zealand with its centre over the southern portion; the pressure is low over the greater part of Australia and there are indications of a cyclone having developed over the western portion of the Tasman Sea; forecast, winds, moderate southerly to south-easterly, backing shortly to easterly, becoming strong in places; weather mainly fair to cloudy, but some scattered showers in eastern districts, especially between Kaikoura and East Cape, later rain de ■veloping in northern districts. Sun rises, 4.44 a.m.; sets, 7.54 p.m. Lighting-up time:—B.24 p.m.
