PERSONAL.
The following appointments of teachers are announced by the Wellington Education Board: Miss L. M. Cocker, assistant mistress, Masterton Central; Miss 8. L. Pitt, assistant mistress, Pongaroa; Mr. L. H. Arens, head teacher, Seatoun; Mr. W’. J. Melody, head teacher, Thorndon. , Reference was made by several speakers at the annual meeting of the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church congregation last night to splendid work carried out over a number of years by Mrs A. J. Gibson. In addition to being a painstaking and very efficient treasurer, Mrs Gibson is also leader of the Girls’ Bible Class and secretary of the P.W.M.U. She was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for her excellent work, the motion being carried by acclamation.
