POWER FAILURE.

TROUBLE ON MAIN LINE FROM ARAPUNI.

GEAT PART OF AUCKLAND PROVINCE AFFECTED. AUCKLAND, December 19. A fault in the main power line from A rapuni to Auckland resulted in the failure of power over a great part of the province for 20 minutes, from six o’clock this evening. Nearly two hundred trams were held up in Auckland, although the peak traffic period had passed. Householders were only affected where electric cooking was tised. There were three lines available find when the fault was located another line was commissioned.—(P.A.)
