WAIRARAPA COMPETITION MATCHES. UNITED AND HIGH SCHOOL WIN. BLAMIRES TOPS CENTURY. The Wairarapa Cricket Association's competition matches were continued on Saturday in beautifully fine weather. On the almost perfect wickets, several batsmen knocked. up creditable totals. United maintained their unbeaten record by scoring a three-point win over Lansdowne, while High School defeated Old Boys on the first innings. Individual batting honours went to E. O. Blamires (United), 105 not out, and K. C. Montgomery (Old Boys), 61 and 66. Good bowling performances were registered by Spackman (United), six for 49, and. Hatton (High School) four for 34. UNITED-kLANSDOWNEi. United won outright against Lansdowne in a match concluded at the Park Oval. Both elevens had completed their first innings on the previous Saturday, United scoring three more than their opponents. When play was resumed, Lansdowne had lost seven wickets for 91 runs in their second strike. They carried their score to 185, leaving United with 182 to get for a three-point win.
