RESULTS OF SPORTS MEETING. The children of the Hinakura Schoo! were the guests of Mrs. R. Mitchell and Miss Ngaire McLaren, of Bush Gully, on Wednesday afternoon. They were entertained with an interesting sports programme for which the prizes were generously donated by Miss McLaren. The results of tho events, in which the competition was keen, were as follow:—10ft Yards: M. Schofield (4 yards), 1; Q. Schofield (10yds), 2. 75 Yards: 8. Mitchell (2yds), I; D. Mac- -- Jump (open): S. Mitchell, 3ft. 9in., 1; D. Macleod (scr.) 3ft. ftjin., 2. Junior High Jump: H. Simpson 1, G. Simpson 2. Long Jump (open): Gordon Simpson (Sin) 1; T. Schofield (scr.), 12ft 2in., 2. Three-leg-ged Race: T. Schofield and D. Macleod, 1; 8. Mitchell and M. Schofield, 2. Sack Race: Q. Schofield 1, H. Simpson 2. Blindfold Race: D. Macleod and T Schofield, 1; S. Mitchell and M. Schofield, 2. Wheel-barrow Race: Garnet Hirapson and M. Schofield, 1; Gordon Simpson and George Simpson, 2. Potato Race: G. Simpson 1, D. Macleod 2.
