TRYING AGAIN.
BERTRAM’S LONG-DISTANCE FLIGHT. RETURNING TO DARWIN. SO URAB AY A, December 14. Bertram’s monoplane will be dismantled here and returned to Darwin for a fresh start after the record. The whole of the undercarriage was wrecked. The stowaway, John Dodson, aged 20, born in Tasmania, declares that he had no special object in the flight except that he was anxious to make a nice trip. He never thought he was endangering the lives of the pilots. The police arc sending him back to Australia.
