COSY THEATRE.

‘‘SKY BRIDE.” Half the proceeds of to-night’s entertainment at the Cosy Theatre will be donated to the unemployed. The big attraction is “Sky Bride,” additional features will be M.r C. W. Kerry at the Wurlitzer organ, vocal solos by Mrs T. Corkill and lightning sketches by Mr. F. Price, “Sky Bride,” is a story of modern aviation, featuring Richard Arlen, Jack Oakie, Virginia Bruce, Robert Coogan and Charles Starrett. Arlen is entirely at ease in his role of a daredevil flyer, having served as a pilot in the Royal Flying Corps during the War, and later having continued his flying during the making of “Wings,” the picture that started him on his way to screen fame. Arlen appears as “flying circus” pilot who Joses his nerve after killing a rival pilot in reckless stunting. In the climax of the picture drama he redeems himself by rescuing a child who has been carried aloft clinging to the undercarriage of a ’plane. Seats may be reserved at Vare’s ’phone 1333. There will be another big matinee attraction to-morrow afternoon when Tim McCoy will be starred in “Cornered.” News, cartoon and comedy items are also included on an excellent entertainment.
